Choose someone, either known to you or a stranger, and truly wish for him or her to be happy. Try to really mean it as you think it.
Think about how you’re connected to the people around you. For example, might you have shared interests or hopes?
This involves thinking about ways in which you might be better off than others, helping you to feel grateful for what you do have and what is good in your life.
